1. Competition Objective

Participants will be evaluated on their skills in haircutting, coloring, detailing, and overall styling coordination by creating trendy hairstyles for male models. The goal is to complete the design and styling within the allocated time frame.

2. Scoring Criteria

• Haircutting Skills: Smoothness of cutting lines, distinct layering, and adherence to trendy standards.
• Coloring Effects: Natural transitions between colors and compatibility with the hairstyle.
• Overall Coordination: Compatibility of the hairstyle with the model’s facial features and overall demeanor.

3. Competition Rules

(1) Competition Content

1. Trend Haircutting: Adjust side hair layers to ensure smooth lines and natural transitions. Refine hairlines for clarity, symmetry, and coordination with the model’s head shape.
2. Top Haircutting: The top hair length must blend naturally with the sides, maintaining overall balance in the style.
3. Coloring: The model’s hair must feature at least two colors. The color transitions must be natural and align with the haircut style. Coloring must be completed prior to the competition.

(2) Competition Time

• The competition duration is 30 minutes. All actions must be completed within the time limit.

(3) Contestant Grooming Requirements

1. Dress Code: Contestants must wear the uniform provided by the organizer, paired with appropriate pants and shoes to reflect a professional image.
2. Hair Requirements: Hair must be neatly styled, clean, and well-groomed. If the hair is long, it may be tied back to maintain cleanliness and professionalism.
3. Overall Appearance: Contestants must maintain a tidy and clean appearance, without excessive accessories or heavy makeup, to ensure a professional look.

(4) Tools and Products

1. Tools: Scissors, small combs, electric clippers, hairdryers, straighteners, and cleaning brushes are permitted.
2. Products: Hair wax, setting spray, or hair lotion are allowed.
3. Extension Cords: Contestants must bring their own extension cords; the organizer will only provide one electrical outlet per participant.

(5) Wet Hair Requirement

• Models’ hair must be fully wet and combed straight to the ends before the competition starts to ensure smooth operations.

(6) Prohibited Actions

1. The use of hair extensions is prohibited.
2. Curling irons are prohibited.
3. Using hair dyes or color sprays to retouch colors during the competition is prohibited.
4. Pre-trimming or manipulating the model’s hair before the competition is prohibited.
5. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

4. Model Requirements

(1) Model Conditions

Participants must bring their own male model, and the model’s hair must be healthy with no obvious scalp damage.

• The side hair must be at least 3 cm, and top hair must be at least 5 cm to ensure sufficient flexibility for cutting and styling.

(2) Model Clothing

1. Style Recommendations:

• Simple, stylish, or personalized attire that complements the competition theme.
• Accessories should enhance the overall style without overshadowing the hairstyle.

2. Prohibited Items:

• Hats or any accessories that obstruct the hairstyle are prohibited.

5. Safety and Hygiene

(1) Tools and Products

1. All tools must be disinfected before and after the competition to ensure no risk of cross-contamination.
2. Styling products must meet safety standards to avoid irritation to the model’s scalp.

(2) Model Protection

1. Models’ hair should be cleaned before the competition. If necessary, soothing sprays or hair lotion can be used.
2. Ensure no residual products that may cause irritation remain on the scalp.

(3) Work Area Cleanliness

1. Contestants must ensure that their workstations (tables and chairs) are tidy, with no tools, products, or waste left behind.
2. Hair dropped during the competition will be cleaned by designated staff, and contestants are not required to handle this.
3. After the competition, contestants should promptly clean up their tools and products and restore the workstation to a tidy condition.

6. Competition Process

(1) Pre-Competition Preparation

1. Contestant and Model Check-in:

• Contestants must arrive at the designated area with their model at least 15 minutes before the competition starts for check-in.

(2) Competition Segment

1. Competition Start: Contestants have 30 minutes to complete all actions.
2. Competition End: Contestants must stop immediately when time is up. Any unfinished work will not be counted in the scoring.

(3) Model Presentation

1. Contestants are not required to move the model. The model should remain standing or sitting in their original position while waiting for evaluation by the judges.
