(M2L) Make Up Artistry - Refined Eye Contouring

Competition Rules & Regulations

  1. Competition Objective

This competition aims to assess participants’ professional skills in makeup techniques, attention to detail, and overall styling coordination. Participants are required to create a themed Refined Eye Contouring makeup look that integrates eye enhancement , clean and neat within the allocated time.

 

  1. Scoring Criteria
  • Makeup Technique: Evaluation of detailed makeup work, smooth overall lines, distinct layering, and the ability to highlight a fresh and natural style.
  • Creativity and Theme Relevance: Assessment of whether the makeup design aligns with the Refined Eye Contouring theme and successfully combines with overall design.
  • Overall Coordination: Cudgement of the harmony between the makeup and the model’s overall styling (attire and hairstyle will be simple yet stylish), and whether the makeup complements the model’s feature. Must emphasis on eye makeup and alignment.

 

  1. Competition Rules

(1) Competition Content

    1. Makeup Theme: Participants must create a Refined Eye Contouring makeup look emphasizing a fresh and elegant style.
    2. Creativity Restrictions: Creativity is limited to the face; designs must not cover more than half the face. Hand-drawn elements or accessories may be used as accents but should not be overly exaggerated.
    3. Completion Ratio: 80% of the makeup must be completed before the competition, with the remaining 20% finished on-site .Contestant must not do apply any eye makeup , lashes or sticker . Only complete one eye makeup including eyebrow and lashes .
    4. Overall Styling: Makeup must complement the overall theme, including suitable attire and accessories.

Contestant must keep one eye without any makeup and another one to done on site.

(2) Competition Time

    • The competition duration is 30 minutes. All actions must be completed within the time limit.

(3) Contestant Grooming Requirements

    1. Dress Code: Contestants must wear the uniform provided by the organizer, paired with appropriate pants and shoes to reflect a professional image.
    2. Hair Requirements: Hair must be neatly styled, clean, and well-groomed. If the hair is long, it may be tied back to maintain cleanliness and professionalism.
    3. Overall Appearance: Contestants must maintain a tidy and clean appearance, without excessive accessories or heavy makeup, to ensure a professional look.

(4) Tools and Products

    1. Required Equipment: Participants must bring their own makeup tools and products according to the makeup requirements. Brand restrictions do not apply, but all products must meet safety standards.
    2. Extension Cords: Contestants must bring their own extension cords; the organizer will only provide one electrical outlet per participant.

(5) Prohibited Actions

    1. Use of special effects makeup, prosthetics, or overly theatrical elements is prohibited.
    2. Use of irritant makeup products or those that have not passed safety certification is prohibited.
    3. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

 

  1. Model Requirements

(1) Model Conditions

Participants must bring their own models. Models must be female with healthy skin, free from significant sensitivities or visible damage.

(2) Model Clothing

    1. Clothing and Accessories:
    • Models’ attire advised to be simple white top.Hairstyle will be clean low bun. Short hair model will be clean wetlook.
    1. Prohibited Items:
    • Models must not wear accessories or hats that obscure the makeup.

 

  1. Safety and Hygiene

(1) Tools and Products

    1. All tools must be disinfected before and after the competition to ensure no risk of cross-contamination.
    2. Makeup products must be certified safe and non-irritating to the model’s skin.

(2) Work Area Cleanliness

    1. Contestants must ensure that their workstations (tables and chairs) are tidy, with no tools, products, or waste left behind.
    2. After the competition, contestants should promptly clean up their tools and products and restore the workstation to a tidy condition.

 

  1. Competition Process

(1) Pre-Competition Preparation

    1. Contestant and Model Check-in:
    • Contestants must arrive at the designated area with their model at least 15 minutes before the competition starts for check-in.

(2) Competition Segment

    1. Competition Start: Contestants have 30 minutes to complete all actions.
    2. Competition End: Contestants must stop immediately when time is up. Any unfinished work will not be counted in the scoring.

(3) Model Presentation

    1. Contestants are not required to move the model. The model should remain standing or sitting in their original position while waiting for evaluation by the judges.

(M2L) Make Up Artistry - “Smart Actions for the Future” Creative Makeup

 

  1. Competition Objective

This competition evaluates participants’ professional skills in makeup techniques, creative expression, and overall styling coordination. Participants must create a futuristic-themed makeup look that incorporates technological and human development elements within the given time frame for live presentation.

  1. Scoring Criteria
  • Makeup Technique: Assessment of detailed makeup work, smooth overall lines, and effective representation of futurism and creativity.
  • Creativity and Theme Relevance: Evaluation of whether the makeup design aligns with the “Smart Actions for the Future” theme, showcasing the integration of technology and future human aesthetics.
  • Overall Coordination: Judgement of the harmony between the makeup and the model’s overall styling (attire and accessories), and whether the makeup complements the model’s features.

  2. Creativity Requirements: Creativity is unrestricted and may include geometric lines, metallic textures, light effects, or similar elements. The overall design must remain cohesive and avoid excessive exaggeration.
  3. Completion Ratio: 80% of the makeup must be completed before the competition, with the remaining 20% finished live on-site (e.g., refining key areas or adding light effects).
  4. Overall Styling: Makeup must be paired with thematic attire and accessories to present a cohesive futuristic look.
