(G5P) Barber - Mannequin Head Creative Design

  1. Competition Objective

This competition is based on creative freedom and aims to test the contestants’ technical abilities, creative expression, and overall styling coordination. Contestants are free to choose their theme, style, and artistic expression. Through mannequin head hairstyle design and styling, contestants will showcase their unique design concepts and personal style. The work must achieve high standards in both technique and aesthetics, while reflecting coordination and visual impact in the overall styling.

 

  1. Scoring Criteria
  • Hairstyle Design and Creativity: The hairstyle design must showcase unique creativity and personal style, leaving a strong impression.
  • Cutting Techniques and Details: The cutting must be precise, with smooth lines and clear layers.
  • Coloring and Decoration Coordination: The coloring must be even, and the decorations should align with the theme of the work, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
  • Overall Styling Aesthetic: The work must have strong visual impact, demonstrating harmony and completeness.

 

  1. Competition Rules

 

(1) Competition Content

  1. Creative Freedom: Contestants can create a hairstyle based on their personal design concepts, with no fixed style limitations. Bold innovation is encouraged, and unique design ideas and artistic styles should be showcase.
  2. Technical Requirements:
  • Cutting: Hairstyle lines should be clear and smooth, with well-defined layers and attention to detail.
  • Coloring: The coloring should be even and natural, complementing the overall styling theme.
  • Styling: The hairstyle must be stable, with a well-balanced structure and no obvious loose or scattered parts.
  1. Overall Styling: The work must harmonize in terms of hairstyle design, coloring, and decoration. The styling should have visual impact and artistic appeal.

 

(2) Prohibited Actions

  1. The use of severely damaged mannequin heads is prohibited.
  2. Plagiarism is prohibited.

 

  1. Mannequin Head Specifications

 

(1) Material

  • The material of the mannequin head hair is not restricted (e.g., human hair, goat hair, heat-resistant synthetic fibers, etc.). Contestants may freely choose the material that suits the competition requirements.
  • The chosen material must support cutting, coloring, and styling, while also providing good display results.

 

(2) Head Shape

  • The mannequin head must have natural proportions, with no obvious damage to the scalp, allowing for effective styling design and evaluation.

 

(3) Stand

  • The mannequin head must be equipped with a stable stand that can be adjusted to a height range of 100 cm to 150 cm, ensuring it is secure and suitable for display.

 

(4) Cleanliness

  • The mannequin head must be clean and free from oil, dye residue, or other impurities.

 

(5) Hair Length

  • There is no restriction on hair length. Contestants may freely choose the length based on their creative concept, but the integrity and visual effect of the work must be ensured.

 

(6) Coloring and Decoration

  • The mannequin head must be suitable for coloring and styling operations. The products used must be skin-safe and certified.
  • Decorations may be freely added, but they must not obstruct the main hairstyle design and should complement the theme of the work.

 

  1. Competition Process

 

(1) Pre-Competition Preparation

  1. Contestants must complete the mannequin head creation before the competition day.
  2. Ensure that the work is clean and neat, and that the mannequin head and stand are stable and undamaged before submission.

 

(2) Submission and Display

  1. On the day of the competition, contestants must submit their mannequin head work to the designated location at least 1 hour before the start of the competition. Late submissions will be considered as withdrawal from the competition. Once submitted, no further changes can be made to the work.
  2. After submission, the organizer will assign a unique number sticker to each entry based on the contestant’s number and will arrange the mannequin heads accordingly. Contestants are not required to be present for this.
  3. The judges will evaluate the work based on the scoring criteria, assessing the technical, creative, and overall performance.

 

(3) Work Retrieval

  1. After the judging process is complete, contestants may collect their mannequin head work from the designated location at 5:00 PM.
  2. Contestants must show their contestant number to verify their identity and retrieve their work. Any works not picked up by the deadline will be handled by the organizer.
