With nearly 30 years of dedication to the beauty industry, Rebecca Loo has risen from a humble apprentice to a celebrated Senior National TVET Trainer and the Founder and Principal of Beauty Pro Academy. Known as the “TVET Certification Expert,” Rebecca has tirelessly promoted technical and vocational education, shaping countless careers and advancing the beauty industry in Malaysia.

Rebecca’s journey began in the 1990s when she pursued a career in beauty after deciding to forgo university. Starting as an apprentice at a renowned beauty salon in Kuala Lumpur, she quickly realized the importance of formal qualifications for career advancement. Driven to upskill, she pursued professional training in Malacca, earning Malaysia’s Level 1 and Level 2 SKM Technical Diplomas from the National Skills Development Department (JPK). Not content with stopping there, Rebecca became a certified Senior National TVET Trainer, taking her career to new heights.

In 1997, with her vision undeterred by challenges, Rebecca founded Beauty Pro Academy alongside her three sisters. Dedicated to providing professional beauty and wellness training and certifications, the academy has grown into a leading institution, helping countless individuals turn their passion into profession. Under her leadership, the academy has relocated multiple times to accommodate its growth, ultimately settling in its current location in Puchong, Selangor.

As the Founder of HITBARBER_KotaKinabalu, Willy has made an indelible mark on the barbering industry, combining exceptional talent, innovative techniques, and a passion for excellence.

Over the years, Willy has earned numerous accolades, cementing his position as a leader in the field. Among his achievements are the World Skill Malaysia Champion (2017), World Skill ASEAN Bronze Medalist (2018), and MIVA Asia International Men Trend Cut Champion (2023). In addition, he was a Top 10 Finalist in Groomify Color & Cut (2018) and a Finalist in the Andis International Copy the Cut Competition (2022). Michelle Yap is an accomplished entrepreneur and industry leader with 17 years of experience in the hair and beauty market. As the founder of Michelle Hair Salon, Michelle Makeup & Hair Academy, and a co-founder of M&A International Vocational Academy, she has dedicated her career to elevating professional standards and nurturing talent in the industry.

Simon Wong is a professional hairdresser, makeup artist, and educator with extensive experience in the beauty industry. Known for his exceptional skills in hairstyling, makeup artistry, and special effects, Simon has worked on numerous high-profile projects, including TV commercials, photo shoots, stage shows, and bridal styling.

Simon’s impressive portfolio includes collaborations with both local and international celebrities and models from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and Taiwan. He has worked with notable artists such as Datin Sofea, Tengku Azura, Dynaz Mokhtar, Beto Kusyairy, and Cheryl Samad, among others. Kent Lo is a dedicated aromatherapist at MES Melange, blending a strong foundation in the beauty industry with a passion for the therapeutic benefits of essential oils. His journey began as a hairdresser, where he cultivated skills in hairstyling, makeup, nail artistry, and graphic design. Over time, Kent’s fascination with the transformative power of essential oils inspired him to specialize in aromatherapy, earning a Diploma in Aromatherapy (TQUK).

A career highlight for Kent includes winning 3rd place in the OMC Asia Cup 2015, a testament to his creativity and expertise. He has also worked on numerous commercial shoots as part of the hair and makeup team, further enriching his professional experience.
